Guest Coach: Lyndsey McIntyre
Lyndsey grew up around bikes while working in a local shop from 12 to 18 years old. She learned the joy of 2 wheels while chasing her older brother around on a BMX bike at the skate park, in the hills of Virginia on road bikes, and among the mountains of Maryland and West Virginia on a mountain bike, the latter of which stuck. After a broken wrist at an indoor mountain bike park, she took a break from cycling to focus on her collegiate soccer career.
She then went on to learn how to rehabilitate others from injuries by earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. When she was ready to get back on the bike, Lyndsey discovered the immense value of formal MTB coaching and the direct effects on not only her own confidence on and off the bike, but of others she took clinics with. Lyndsey’s background in coaching soccer from the youth to collegiate level and her experience as a physical therapist teaching body positioning and mechanics naturally lead her to pursue her Level 1 PMBIA coaching certification and a bike fit certification.
As a travel physical therapist, you can find Lyndsey across the country engaging in the local cycling communities and hitting the trails whenever she can.
Certifications:
- Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association (PMBIA) Level 1 Certification
- AHA Basic Life Saver CPR/AED and First Aid
- Institute of Clinical Excellence Professional Bike Fitting Certification
